MacKenzie’s Country Store is located on Main street, Hwy 223 in Little
Narrows, Victoria County in central Cape Breton. Owner Louise MacKenzie
along with Barbara, Brian and Liz have been pleased to serve customers
since 2005. They can be reached by dialing (902) 756-2985.
Hours of operation:
Summer: Monday to Saturday-7am to 9pm & Sunday-11am to 7pm
Winter: Monday to Saturday- 8am to 7pm & Sunday- 2pm to 7pm
Little Narrows is only 1 km from junction of TCH 105
and route 223 and a short ferry ride across St. Patrick’s Channel aboard
the “Caolas S’ilis”, Gaelic for Julia’s Strait. This village is
beautifully located along the shores of the Bras D’Or Lakes and
centrally located within Cape Breton Island-a perfect place to relax and
sit awhile or take a canoe or kayak ride to visit the Little Narrows
Light-operating since 1881!
Enjoy Little Narrows beach and picnic area, their Presbyterian
established in 1916, community centre and Washabuck Falls.
A picturesque ride on Rte 223 brings you to the Highland Village in
Iona, abounding in rich Scottish culture, a living history museum
recreating 200 years of Scottish settlement, it is a “must see” while in
Cape Breton.
