Founded by Orangeman who settled in the vicinity, Orangedale was a small farming and fishing community until 1886 when the Intercolonial Railway of Canada mainline from Sydney to Port Hawkesbury was constructed.

Orangedale became host to a Victorian-period 2-storey wooden railway passenger station and became the preferred stop for many passengers heading to and from Cape Breton Island. Passenger rail service stopped in 1990. The Orangedale Station is now part of an extensive railway museum.

We are on the lookout for locations throughout Cape Breton as add-ons to convenience or other stores, and as free standing gas outlets.
